Respect Matters

Nakusp Secondary School opened in 1957 and is one of six schools in School District 10, Arrow Lakes. It has a current school population of 149 students and 25 staff members. Students come into Grade 8 from the elementary schools in Nakusp, Burton & Edgewood.

NSS is very much at the heart of Nakusp’s community with generations in the village having passed through the hallways of the school. This means that the community is very generous in the time it gives to the school whether through coaching school teams, mentoring students in work placements, volunteering time in class, sharing expertise or attending monthly PAC meetings.
